ROAD TO 70
"The average measures the journey. It isn't the journey."
More than an average
One match. One episode. Every day. The good, the bad, and everything in between.
Road to 70 started with a simple target: to become a darts player capable of consistently averaging 70.
But somewhere along the way, it became about much more than a number.
It's an honest record of trying to become a better darts player — one match at a time.
THE AVERAGE MEASURES THE JOURNEY.
IT ISN'T THE JOURNEY.
WHAT IS THE ROAD TO 70?
There are plenty of ways to practise darts.
I wanted to know what would happen if I documented the process properly.
Every day, I play a match. I track the numbers through Scolia, look at what went well, what didn't and then share it — regardless of whether I've just thrown one of my best matches or had an absolute shocker.
There's no selective editing of the journey so it looks like I'm constantly improving.
Some days the average climbs. Some days the doubles disappear. Sometimes everything clicks and sometimes I genuinely wonder whether I've ever thrown a dart before.
That's the point.
Road to 70 isn't about proving I'm a great darts player.
It's about finding out how good I can become.

THE WHOLE JOURNEY SHARED
Every Road to 70 match is tracked through Scolia, giving me the numbers behind the performance — average, scoring average, checkout percentage, best legs and more.
But Road to 70 has never been about chasing one good average. It's about whether those numbers improve over time and, ultimately, whether I become a better darts player.
The average measures the journey. It isn't the journey.
POWERED BY SCOLIA
Scolia has been part of Road to 70 from the beginning, automatically tracking every dart and giving me the data behind each match.
Average. Scoring average. Checkout percentage. Best legs. Highest finishes.
It means I can look beyond the final score and understand what's actually happening with my game.
And importantly, it keeps me honest.

NOT EVERY DAY IS A GOOD DAY
THE BAD DAYS COUNT TOO.
One of the rules I've had from the beginning is simple:
If I play badly, it still gets posted.
Road to 70 wouldn't mean much if I only showed the 75 averages, big finishes and 180s.
The low averages count too.
The missed doubles count.
The sessions where nothing feels right count.
Because that's what actually trying to improve looks like.
And sometimes those episodes teach me more than the good ones.
