The Orm Storm isn’t just about playing darts, it’s about improving performance, tracking progress, and understanding what actually works at the board.
This site is where I document that process. Real matches, real practice, and honest insights into how my game is developing over time.
There’s no shortcuts here—just consistent work, analysis, and gradual improvement.
Why I Started This
Like most players, I’ve spent a lot of time just throwing darts and hoping for improvement.
But real progress doesn’t come from guessing, it comes from understanding your game properly.
This platform is about doing exactly that: tracking performance, identifying weaknesses, and improving with purpose rather than just repetition.
My Approach to the Game
My approach is built around three core areas:
Match Play
Regular competive matches are essetional.
Practise is important, but nothing replicates the pressure, rythm, and decison making of real games.
Structured Practise
Practice sessions are focused and purposeful.
Rather than just throwing for the sake of it, I work on:
Scoring consistency
Checkout routines
Repetition under pressure
Every session has a purpose.
Performance Analysis
This is where things change.
Instead of guessing how I’m playing, I track performance using Scolia.
This provides real data on:
Averages
Scoring patterns
Checkout percentages
It makes it much easier to:
Spot trends
Identify weak areas
Measure improvement over time
Why Data Matters
Darts is a game of small margins.
A few missed doubles or a drop in scoring over a couple of legs can completely change a match.
Without data, it’s easy to overlook those patterns.
With it, you can clearly see:
Where legs are being lost
How consistent scoring really is
Whether improvements are actually happening
That’s what this site is built around—real insight, not guesswork.
The Reality of Improvement
Improvement in darts isn’t instant.
It comes from:
Repetition
Consistency
Learning from mistakes
There will be good sessions and bad ones but both are part of the process.
The key is understanding why they happen and adjusting accordingly.
The goal is simple:Improve consistency, raise performance levels, and become a better player over time.
If you’re working on your own game, hopefully this gives you something useful along the way.
Follow the journey and track the progress.
