Building The Orm Storm – One Sticker At A Time

When I first created The Orm Storm, I wasn't trying to build a business or create a big brand.

I just wanted somewhere to share my darts journey.

The good days.

The bad days.

The equipment I was trying.

The practice sessions.

The little improvements that make this game so addictive.

If someone picked up a tip along the way or enjoyed following the journey, then that was a bonus.

That's still exactly what this is about.

The Journey Keeps Growing

Over the last few months, though, something has slowly started to happen.

The website has grown.

The Road to 70 series has become a daily part of my routine.

I've written blogs about the equipment I genuinely use.

I've been lucky enough to work with some great companies.

None of this has happened overnight.

It's just been lots of small steps, one after another.

So when the idea of getting some The Orm Storm stickers came into my head, it felt like another natural step.

Not because I needed them.

Simply because it felt like something fun to create.

Why Stickers?

I'll be honest...

I've always liked seeing people personalise their dart cases, laptop lids and dart rooms.

It's a small thing, but it gives everything a bit more personality.

I thought it would be nice to have something that represented The Orm Storm too.

Not because I think loads of people will suddenly want one.

But because it would be something I could proudly put on my own gear.

And if a few other people liked them as well...

Even better.

Plus as a kid who didn't love a sticker....even as a grown man I'll be honest I still do.

Finding The Right Company

If I was going to get some stickers made, I knew I only wanted to do it once.

The logo has taken quite a while to get to where it is today. It didn't just appear overnight. There have been countless tweaks to the colours, the fonts, the layout and even some healthy debates over the smallest details. Every little change has helped shape what The Orm Storm looks like today.

Because of that, I didn't want to send the artwork off to the first company I came across and simply hope for the best.

I wanted someone who would treat it with the same care that I'd put into creating it.

After speaking with Layerworx3D, I quickly got the feeling that they genuinely cared about what they produced. They were approachable, easy to deal with and happy to answer my questions without making anything feel like a hassle.

What I really appreciated was that they didn't just feel like a company taking an order. They took the time to understand what I was trying to achieve and wanted to make sure the finished product reflected that.

As someone who's quite particular about the details, that gave me a lot of confidence before the stickers had even gone into production.

The Finished Product

When the envelope arrived, I have to admit I was genuinely excited to open it.

It's funny really. To most people, they're just stickers.

To me, they represented another little milestone in a journey that's been slowly growing over the last year.

Seeing the logo on screen is one thing.

Holding it in your hand is something completely different.

The first thing that struck me was just how sharp everything looked. The colours were exactly as I'd hoped, with the black and neon green really standing out. Every detail of the logo was crisp, and the finish gave them a genuinely premium feel.

I found myself looking over every sticker, checking the colours, the edges and the overall quality, and I honestly couldn't fault them.

The thing that made me smile most wasn't just how good they looked, but how closely they matched the vision I'd had in my head.

There's always that little bit of uncertainty when you've designed something on a computer screen. You hope it'll look just as good when it's printed, but you never quite know until you see it for yourself.

Thankfully, I didn't need to worry.

They looked every bit as good as I'd imagined.

Why I'll Be Gong Back

One thing I've learnt over the years, both in my professional life and through building The Orm Storm, is that finding people and businesses you can genuinely trust is worth its weight in gold.

These days it's easy to order almost anything online, but great customer service and genuine pride in the finished product aren't always guaranteed.

That's why experiences like this stand out.

From the first conversation right through to receiving the finished stickers, the whole process felt straightforward and professional. Communication was excellent, questions were answered quickly and, most importantly, I always felt confident that the finished product was going to be something I'd be proud to put my name to.

Because of that, I honestly don't see any reason to look elsewhere in the future.

Whether I decide to produce more stickers, branded accessories or any other merchandise as The Orm Storm continues to grow, Layerworx3D will be my first port of call.

It's nice knowing you've found a company that understands your vision and delivers exactly what they promise.

For me, that's worth far more than simply finding the cheapest option.

Final Thoughts

I'm under no illusion that getting a few stickers printed suddenly changes anything.

Tomorrow I'll still be standing at the oche trying to improve my game.

I'll still be chasing that next better average.

I'll still be writing blogs, filming videos, testing equipment and learning something new every week.

That's never going to change.

But I do think it's important to stop every now and then and appreciate the little milestones along the way.

It's very easy to become focused on the next goal without recognising how far you've already come.

For me, these stickers represent much more than a logo on a piece of vinyl.

They represent every practice session that's gone into improving my game.

Every evening spent editing videos.

Every blog post written after work.

Every conversation with people who have offered advice, encouragement or simply enjoyed following the journey.

They're a small reminder of everything that's gone into building The Orm Storm so far.

I know there's still a long way to go, and that's perfectly fine.

In many ways, that's the exciting part.

The website continues to grow.

The Road to 70 journey continues.

Sometimes something as simple as a sticker can remind you why you started in the first place.

And for that reason alone, I'm really glad I decided to get them made.
